Su territorio presenta una combinaci\u00f3n de areniscas, arcillas y dep\u00f3sitos aluviales, adem\u00e1s de relieves asociados a la cordillera de los Altos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caracter\u00edsticas geol\u00f3gicas generales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cordillera se ubica dentro de la regi\u00f3n geol\u00f3gica oriental de Paraguay, donde predominan formaciones sedimentarias del Paleozoico y del Mesozoico.<\/p>\n<p>El relieve actual fue modelado por:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>procesos tect\u00f3nicos antiguos;<\/li>\n<li>erosi\u00f3n fluvial;<\/li>\n<li>meteorizaci\u00f3n;<\/li>\n<li>sedimentaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Principales tipos de rocas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Areniscas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las areniscas son muy comunes en gran parte del departamento, especialmente en las zonas de serran\u00edas y colinas.<\/p>\n<p>Estas rocas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>poseen tonos rojizos y amarillentos;<\/li>\n<li>se erosionan f\u00e1cilmente;<\/li>\n<li>originan suelos arenosos y ondulados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Son visibles en \u00e1reas cercanas a:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Caacup\u00e9;<\/li>\n<li>Altos;<\/li>\n<li>Piribebuy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rocas arcillosas y limosas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n existen capas de:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lutitas;<\/li>\n<li>limos;<\/li>\n<li>arcillas sedimentarias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Estas formaciones aparecen en zonas bajas y valles fluviales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dep\u00f3sitos aluviales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A lo largo de r\u00edos y arroyos se encuentran dep\u00f3sitos recientes compuestos por:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>arena;<\/li>\n<li>limo;<\/li>\n<li>arcilla;<\/li>\n<li>grava.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Estos materiales fueron transportados por cursos de agua como:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>r\u00edo Manduvir\u00e1;<\/li>\n<li>r\u00edo Piribebuy;<\/li>\n<li>arroyo Yhaguy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Relaci\u00f3n con la cordillera de los Altos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La llamada cordillera de los Altos no es una cordillera monta\u00f1osa joven, sino un conjunto de serran\u00edas antiguas y colinas erosionadas formadas sobre rocas sedimentarias elevadas lentamente a lo largo de millones de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Estas elevaciones presentan:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pendientes suaves;<\/li>\n<li>afloramientos rocosos;<\/li>\n<li>valles estrechos;<\/li>\n<li>intensa erosi\u00f3n superficial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Suelos y recursos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La geolog\u00eda del departamento influye directamente en la formaci\u00f3n de:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>suelos f\u00e9rtiles para agricultura;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e1reas aptas para ganader\u00eda;<\/li>\n<li>materiales utilizados en construcci\u00f3n y cer\u00e1mica.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En localidades como Tobat\u00ed existen canteras y actividades relacionadas con materiales minerales no met\u00e1licos, especialmente piedra y arcilla.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hidrogeolog\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El subsuelo de Cordillera posee acu\u00edferos asociados a capas arenosas permeables, importantes para:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>abastecimiento de agua;<\/li>\n<li>agricultura;<\/li>\n<li>consumo urbano.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Parte del territorio est\u00e1 relacionado con el sistema acu\u00edfero Guaran\u00ed, uno de los mayores reservorios de agua subterr\u00e1nea de Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La geolog\u00eda del departamento de Cordillera est\u00e1 formada principalmente por rocas sedimentarias y materiales antiguos pertenecientes a la cuenca del Paran\u00e1. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":22233,"template":"","categoria_ficha":[2230],"class_list":["post-22232","ficha","type-ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_ficha-mapas-del-departamento-de-cordillera"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
